I didn't really have many expectations for ACOTB since I don't really like this time period and TVB comedies are either a hit or miss for me. ACOTB was for the most part entertaining to watch and the family relationships in here were touching. I wished they would have shown how difficult it would be for somebody in the 2000's to live in the 1960's since it seem Ron Ng's character adapted and adjusted really well; it seem like it should have been sort of like "A Step into the Past" but not as bad of course. The whole time traveling incident wasn't really explained well and I'm still confused about that but it's a comedy so I'll let it past. The ending is a cliffhanger since they are planning to make a sequel. I hope the sequel would be as entertaining or even better since it doesn't seem like there is anything left to show after most of the problems were resolved in the first one.
Sunny Chan: He's such a nice character that it's unrealistic but he was not too boring to watch. He was believable as Ron Ng's father. 5*****
Ron Ng: He's cute in here (but then again he's always cute to me) and his character was fun to watch. His acting has been improving every time I watch a new drama of his. 5*****
Myolie Wu: I didn't really like her character in here until the second half. I thought she was more annoying than funny but Myolie did a good job. 5*****
Shirley Yeung: She was cute as an uneducated and loud noodles-making girl. She was entertaining to watch. 5*****
Nancy Wu: Her character wasn't all that important but she was cute and believable as an educated and wealthy girl. 5*****
Mandy Wong: This is Mandy's first drama and she was not bad in here! This is not a breakthrough role but she was able to convince me that she can act. I look forward to seeing her in more dramas in the near future. 4****
Sunny+Myolie: They are a lot cuter in here than in "War and Destiny". Their opposite personalities were interesting to watch. 4****
Ron+Shirley: The cutest couple in here so I wished they would have focused on their relationship more. I'm starting to see why a lot of people like them as a couple. 4****

Rosy Business
I don't know if my expectations were too high for this drama or not since although RB was good, it wasn't the greatest drama ever made. I felt RB was too repetitive of other TVB dramas like "Safe Guards", "Sweetness in the Salt", and "The Silver Chamber of Sorrows". Most of the cast were also the same with some even portraying similar characters. However, it didn't make the same mistakes as "Safe Guards" and "Sweetness in the Salt" did. "Safe Guards" had some miscast while "Sweetness in the Salt" was a little slow and draggy.
Sheren Tang: Her character is so strong and intelligent. I hated Sheren's hairstyle in here though. 5*****
Wayne Lai: This character reminded me a lot of Wayne's character in "Safe Guards". Both are stubborn and semi-bad but are not evil. 5*****
Ron Ng: His character is cute since he was so naive and innocent. 5*****
Elliot Yue: For a character that has a lot of wives, he wasn't annoying and was actually likable. 5*****
Susan Tse: She was a good evil character and she reminded me a lot of Susanna Kwan. She's prettier than Susanna but Susanna is a little bit better at portraying evil characters. Susan was an ATV actress and the only other drama I have seen her in was "Central Affairs II". 5*****
Kiki Sheung: She's has been playing a lot of annoying characters lately but she does a great job at it. 5*****
Kara Hui: Her character reminder me of her character in "Safe Guards" but she's a lot weaker in here. 5*****
Pierre Ngo: This character is almost the exact replica of the one in "Sweetness in the Salt". He's a lot more evil in here though. 5*****
Kelvin Leung: Not bad for a newcomer and he's pretty cute. 2**
Suki Chui: Her character was kind of annoying and useless but at least she didn't have a lot of screen time in here. 3***
Nancy Wu: She has been typecasted as "loose" girls lately but she's good at them. I hope she gets larger roles in the future though. 5*****
Sheren+Wayne: Does Sheren's character like Wayne's character? It's obvious that Wayne's does but not so much Sheren's. I like the friendship they shared though. 5*****

E.U.
A.K.A. Emergency Unit. I watched "The Academy" but didn't like it as much as everybody else so I skipped "On the First Beat" entirely. But due to rave reviews, I decided to give E.U. a chance and I'm glad I did, because E.U. is the best installment of "The Academy" drama. You don't even have to watch the first two to enjoy this since this is an already great drama by itself; they don't really talk about the missing characters too much either (Tavia Yeung, Fiona Sit, Joey Yung, etc.). I like the focus on the triads/gangsters and the undercover cops since it gave a different perspective on police dramas. There are plans for another sequel and there is no doubt I'll be watching it when it comes out!
Ron Ng: He looks so hot in here and his acting has gotten a lot better; he was able to convince me he was Chung Lap Man. 5*****
Sammul Chan: He looks really cute in here and I'm starting to like his acting. 5*****
Michael Miu: He was great as a triad boss, no complaints there. 5*****
Michael Tse: This is definitely his breakthrough role since it was such a thrill to watch him! He shined every time he was onscreen and I hope he gets some recognition at this year's awards. His lucky/deciding coin reminded me a lot of Two-Face's (a villain in the Batman series) coin but not as evil of course. 5*****
Kathy Chow: It's nice to see her acting again and she pretty much looks the same. I thought her character would be stronger from the opening though...sort of be like Angie Cheung's in "Armed Reaction IV" but it was okay the way it was though. 5*****
Elanne Kong: She looks so much like Gillian Chung from Twins! Her acting was not bad for not being a "mainstream" actress; she was believable as the sassy girl who was deeply in love with Ron's character. I wouldn't mind seeing her in more TVB dramas. 4****
Kaki Leung: Her acting was passable but she's not really attractive. Her character got more annoying as the drama progressed though. 3***
Ron+Elanne: They look good together and had a lot of cute scenes. A lot of people were disappointed that they didn't end up together but it made sense why though. Ron and Elanne is a cuter couple than Ron and Tavia. 4****
Sammul+Kaki: I'm glad Sammul's character finally has a happy ending, considering what happened to Fiona Sit's character in "On the First Beat", but Kaki's character was so blah. They don't even have chemistry with each other. 2**
Michael Miu+Kathy: They fit in terms of looks and chemistry. 4****

The Four
I had such high expectations for TF so in a way, I felt it disappointed me. The cases were kind of boring and a lot of questions were left unanswered. However, I blame the latter problem on the editing since it was originally supposed to be 30 episodes but was shorten down to 25 episodes. I'm usually all for shortening dramas but this time around, I actually wished TF was longer. I also heard that the TV version cut/edited out a lot of Ron Ng and Sammul Chan's scenes in order for TF to end earlier so that "The Gem of Life" can air near the TVB Anniversary. I think I watched the unedited version so at least I was able to watch this drama "completely". TF began really well, got boring in the first half, was good again the second half, and then got draggy near the ending. The best part about TF is the relationship between Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Sammul Chan, and Kenneth Ma.
Raymond Lam: I really liked his character in the beginning but was annoyed with him when he started to fall in love with Kate Tsui. I hated how he was smart when it comes to everything but love since he was tricked by Kate so many times that I have lost count! In a way, his character is realistic in that sense since love is blind for a lot of people. However, Raymond portrayed this role well and he looked so handsome when he wore white. 5*****
Ron Ng: I was looking forward to watching Ron in here since I haven't seen him in a drama since "The Brink of Law". His character was cool but a bit bland for my taste since he didn't really do anything but kill people. I wished his character showed more emotions/softness near the end though. 5*****
Sammul Chan: I like him in here since he was the comic relief; however, he can be annoying since he was indecisive and aloof when it comes to love. This was a nice comeback TVB drama for Sammul. 5*****
Kenneth Ma: I ended up liking this character a lot since I initially thought he would be boring since he's such a "goody two-shoes" but his character went through a lot and he was able to show a lot of emotions. 5*****
Kate Tsui: I think Kate looks the best in here since I actually thought she looked quite pretty in her costumes. Her character was interesting but Kate made the role too one-dimensional with her mediocre acting. This role reminded me a lot of the Michelle Yip's in "Lofty Water Verdant Bow" but not as lovable and cute. She was a little bit better at playing evil in here than in "Moonlight Resonance" though. 3***
Selena Li: I was slightly annoyed with her character in the beginning since she kept following and bickering with Kenneth Ma, but I love her after her father died since she matured a lot; she had a nice character development. Selena also looked pretty in her costumes even though they were extremely bright and colorful. 5*****
Vivi Lee: She's not the most attractive actress but I really like her in here since her acting is not bad for a newcomer. When she cried, I wanted to cry with her. I wished she had more screen time though; I look forward to more of her dramas in the near future. 4****
Cilla Kung: She's cute but she's really stiff when it comes to acting. She's not the worst newcomer ever but it didn't help that her character was not all that lovable. 2**
Raymond+Ron+Sammul+Kenneth: I don't really have a favorite constable since they each have flaws but I love them together since they complemented each other well. Initially, I wanted Bosco Wong to replace Kenneth but I don't think Bosco would have done as well as Kenneth. 5*****
Raymond+Kate: They don't look bad in terms of looks but they have zero chemistry together. I'm glad they didn't end up together since Kate is truly evil. Kate should have died instead of being alive with a disfigured face, but her ending is left open-ended so I think she will eventually die. 2**
Kenneth+Selena: They are the only official couple in here but I wished they would have shown their wedding since that would have been cute. They are adorable together and I want to see them as a couple again. It's ironic because I didn't like them as a couple in "The Master of Tai Chi" and I actually wanted Selena to couple with Raymond before watching this but I'm glad she was coupled with Kenneth instead. 5*****
Sammul+Vivi: I like them a lot together too but too bad, they didn't end up together. Optimistically, I think they will eventually end up together when Vivi finishes her studies and when Sammul decides to settle down. 4****
Ron+Cilla: They're not even a couple since it was pretty much one-sided throughout the drama and it's not even clear if Ron even likes Cilla at the end. I think Ron feels touched/pity for Cilla more than actually loving her. 1*

Thus, TVB wanted to replace them but they also have filming issues with the airlines/airports. As for me, I don't care if there is going to be a sequel or not since TITS I was already bad enough for me.

Twin of Brothers
I was so excited to watch this since I love the main cast and by just looking at the pictures, I fell in love with Ron Ng and Leila Tong as a couple. Although not the greatest drama, since the political problems were kind of boring and the plot was sometimes draggy, the cast and the chemistries between them saved this drama.Raymond Lam: 5*****
Ron Ng: He was still too stiff and "wooden" in some scenes. 3***
Tavia Yeung: I like her character in here since her actions were understandable. A lot of people didn't like her in here because she rejected Raymond for her family but I thought she was selfless and not blinded by love like every stereotypical woman in ancient dramas. Tavia also looked gorgeous in here. 5*****
Leila Tong: A lot of people also didn't like Leila in here because her character is too "boring" but how exciting can a priestess be if she's devoted to a life without male encounters and love. I thought Leila brought out many layers to this role that other young actresses probably couldn't do. I love her costume and hairstyle in here. 5*****
Li Qian: Everybody loves her in here but I thought her character was annoying and she's not attractive to the eyes. However, I don't think she's a bad actress. 3***
Nancy Wu: I don't really like Nancy but she was good in here. Her character wasn't all that likable to me but she was for practically everybody else though. 4****

Ron+Kate: I wanted to kill somebody every time I saw them together... 1*
Themesong by Steven Ma and Ron Ng: I love it! 5*****
Rating: 3*** I would watch again but not until a lot of years has passed by so that I don't remembered what happened.

Actors Part I
Favorites:
- Louis Koo - same with Jessica Hsuan; I don't remember when I started to like him either. I like his roles in The Return of the Condor Heroes 1995 and War and Remembrance, but I love him when he's darker so I guess the obsession started in Detective Investigative Files IV.
- Julian Cheung - I officially like Julian in Point of No Return but I enjoyed watching him in Take My Word For It.
- Raymond Lam - I used to think Raymond was a copycat of Louis because they are both dark but I think he's an even better actor than Louis himself. It all started with A Step into the Past.
- Bosco Wong - I used to dislike Bosco for his role in Find the Light but he won me over in Triumph in the Skies, even though his role was small.
- Ron Ng - I'm embarrassed to say I like Ron since he's kind of a bad actor but he has been improving... I thought he was really good looking in Find the Light.
- Andy Lau - I love Andy in Infernal Affairs and the Return of the Condor Heroes 1983.
