Forensic Heroes II

I came in watching FHII with little to no expectations since I thought the first one was overrated since although it was good, it wasn't all that great. I still think the cases are too easy and predictable to solve; however, the character developments were pretty good. The cases were slightly better in the first one but the love triangles were dragged out too long.

Bobby Au Yeung: I was kind of disappointed that his screen time was less in here since he was one of the leads in the first one. However, his acting was still excellent. 5*****

Frankie Lam: I like how he is still one of the leads since I was scared his role will be less important when Linda Chung died and since he is no longer a contracted TVB actor. I absolutely love his character so it was sad to see him so much in pain and tears when Linda Chung died. I'm glad that if there was going to be another sequel, Frankie would have another love interest. 5*****

Kevin Cheng: He's a sweet character but I felt he was too dependent on Charmaine Sheh's character. It seemed like his role was created just so he could be the sweet and loyal boyfriend to Charmaine Sheh's character. 4****

Charmaine Sheh: I was kind of disappointed when I first heard that Charmaine will "replace" Yoyo Mung's character since I really liked Yoyo in the first one. However, I thought she was able to create a character that was completely different from Yoyo's. I like her character but I was annoyed with how she had a crush on Frankie but yet, she was dating Kevin so I felt that it was a selfish act since it was unfair to Kevin. She also looked really old at some angles since her hair was too flat. 4****

Yoyo Mung: I was kind of sad that her screen time was also less in this one but I grew to accept it since Charmaine wasn't a bad "replacement". I heard that her scenes were shorted since apparently she has a diva attitude now after dating Ekin Cheng. I'm not really her fan but it's kind of sad to hear this since I was starting to accept her as a decent actress. I guess this is also the reason why she was not asked to join the cast of "Moonlight Resonance (Heart of Greed II)". Her hair was also really ugly in here. 3***

Linda Chung: She's only a guest star in this sequel since she was busy filming "The Gem of Life". I was actually glad that her character was killed off since she was extremely annoying in the first one. It was kind of sad when she died but I was able to move on. 3***

Bobby+Yoyo: They are still cute so I was happy that they finally got their happy ending. 5*****

Frankie+Linda: They had better chemistry this time but I still don't really like them as a couple. 3***

Kevin+Charmaine: They look extremely good together but I felt they were lacking something. I guess they don't have enough chemistry with each other. 4****

Frankie+Charmaine: They were never really a couple since it was pretty much one-sided but they wouldn't make a bad couple. 3***

Raymond Cho+Florence Kwok: They were a cute and funny couple. 3***

Frankie+Sharon Chan: It was hinted that Sharon might be Frankie's new love interest in the third Forensic Heroes (if there is one) since she reminds him of Linda. They don't look too bad as a couple. 2**

Themesong by Edmond Leung: It was okay but I like the one by Frankie more in the first one. 3***

Rating: 3.5*** A lot better than I thought so people should give this a try before dismissing this because of new cast additions.

Witness To A Prosecution

This can be considered as the ancient version of "Forensics Heroes" but I like this one a lot better since the cases were a lot more interesting.

Bobby Au Yeung: 5*****

Jessica Hsuan: 5*****

Marianne Chan: I'm sad that she's not acting anymore because she's a really good actress. 5*****

Frankie Lam: 5*****

Themesong by Eason Chan: 5*****

Rating: 5***** A classic! Thus, there is a sequel with cast changes.

Ten Brothers

TB is a cute and heartwarming fantasy drama about family. This is also the first drama to have Frankie Lam and Kenix Kwok as a couple after they got married in real-life.

The Herbalist's Manual

This is Michelle Yip's last drama for TVB (for now) and I watched this mainly for that reason. The drama was okay; nothing surprising or addicting elements so it was kind of boring to watch.

Frankie Lam: I felt sad for his character and it was understandable on why he couldn't choose between Michelle and Selena Li until the last moment. 4****

Michelle Yip: Her character was pitiful. 4****

Selena Li: Her character was extremely pitiful and sad and I thought she did a good job. 4****

Kenneth Ma: A repetitive role. 3***

Forensic Heroes

Everybody loves this drama and I thought it was good but kind of overrated. This is the Hong Kong version of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" but not as good since the cases were too easily solved by me.

Bobby Au Yeung: I like him, enough said. 5*****

Frankie Lam: This is one of my favorite roles of Frankie in a long time. 5*****

Yoyo Mung: I like her in here. 4****

Linda Chung: This has got to be my least favorite role of Linda's since she was so annoying. I'm glad she will be killed off in the sequel. 2**

Bobby+Yoyo: I have always liked them as a couple. 5*****

Frankie+Linda: I don't get the hype or rave over this couple. 2**

Themesong by Frankie Lam: 4****

Rating: 3*** I am not really looking forward to the sequel but I will watch it to see what happens.

Face to Fate

The half first of FTF is really good but it sort of went downhill after that and the ending was unsatisfying.

Frankie Lam: This role reminded me too much of the one in The Herbalist's Manual. He did a better job in here though. 5*****

Raymond Lam: I like how this role was a little different with his hair turning white but it still reminded me of the one in Twin of Brothers. 5*****

Tavia Yeung: Her character was annoying but her acting is good. 4****

Selena Li: She improved so much and her character was likable. 4****

Frankie+Tavia: They were okay and it was left opened ending on whether they ended up together or not. 3***

Raymond+Selena: A lot of people like this couple and I thought they were cute but not all that great. 3***

Themesong by Raymond Lam: 4****

Rating: 3*** The plot could have been better developed.

Colourful Life

After watching Coincidentally, I love Frankie Lam and Annie Man as a couple so I had to watch this when it first came out. This drama is a lot like Virtues of Harmony but it came out first and is a lot shorter.

Frankie Lam: I like him a lot better in Coincidentally since his character was kind of boring in here but he still did a good job. 5*****

Annie Man: She's so funny and cute in here! 5*****

Frankie+Annie: Still a cute couple! 5*****

Themesong by Ronald Cheng: Very catchy! 5*****

Coincidentally

This is the best ATV drama I have watched so far. The beginning is really scary but it becomes a funny drama about ghosts in the middle. This is a must-watch!

Frankie Lam: He’s so handsome in here and I think this is his best acting role to date since he is so comfortable in here. 5*****

Annie Man: She’s so lovable and funny in here. 5*****

Kirsty Yang: She’s really pretty but her character was boring and somewhat annoying. She’s better in other dramas. 3***

Crystal Tin: She was funny and likable as Annie’s sister. 4****

Frankie+Annie: A really cute couple. 5*****

Frankie+Kirsty: They fit in terms of looks but there weren’t really any chemistry. 3***

Themesong by Frankie Lam: Suitable for this drama and I like Frankie’s voice. 4****

Rating: 4.5****
