Black & White

I mainly watched B&W since Kingone Wang received rave reviews for his portrayal in here. B&W started out strong but I thought it got kind of slow in the middle with the whole love relationships and misunderstandings. Also, the ending was pretty messy because it tried too hard to have a lot of surprises. Overall, it was a nice Taiwanese police drama to watch because it was refreshing to see something other than idol dramas. However, I still think TVB makes the best police dramas out of all the other countries.

Vic Zhou: This is a new and refreshing role for Vic. He was able to make me believe he was Chen Zai Tian. He was great and I love how he's the comic relief for pretty much everything in here. 5*****

Mark Chao: He blew me away in here! I can't believe that this is his first drama since if I didn't know any better, I would say that he has been acting for years. I'm glad that he won an award for this role and I look forward to seeing him in more dramas in the near future. 5*****

Ivy Chen: She's cute but her character kind of annoyed me in the middle and ending. Acting wise, she was pretty good. 4****

Janine Chang: I don't know if it's supposed to be the character or her but she looks so stiff in all the scenes that she's in. Her character was boring and not that smart as a forensics scientist. 2**

Xiu Jie Kai: The only other drama I have seen of him is in "Mars" and he was completely different in here. He looked very cool and his acting was good. 5*****

Paul Chun: It was kind of surprising to see him in here since I thought he only filmed TVB dramas. He is a great actor but I thought he wasn't that great in here. Maybe it was the script's fault? 4****

Yu Hong Yuan: Her character was cute and she wasn't bad in here. 3***

Sonia Sui: She was an interesting character and she was believable in here. 4****

Kingone Wang: I wish he had more screen time since he stole the spotlight every time he appeared! He was the main reason I watched B&W since he got rave reviews for this portrayal and I agree! 5*****

Jason Zou: He's pretty cute and he was good as the robotic and heartless assassin. 4****

Vic Zhou+Ivy Chen: I still don't know if I want them to end up together or not since it seems like Vic doesn't truly like Ivy...does he even like her at all? It seems more like lust on Vic's side. And to think about it, I don't really understand why Ivy would even like Vic at all? They look okay together though. 3***

Vic Zhou+Janine Chang: They don't have chemistry together but their development was kind of interesting since she always ends up saving him. 2**

Vic Zhou+Yu Hong Yuan: I like them together. If it was possible, I would want Vic's character to end up with her. 4****

Vic Zhou+Patina Lin: Patina looked so much like Barbie Hsu in the first episode! They were okay, nothing really developed between them. 2**

Mark Chao+Ivy Chen: I think they look cuter together than Vic and Ivy. I don't get why Mark likes Ivy so much though. 3***

Mark Chao+Janine Chang: Janine's character, in a way, is too "good" for Mark's since she deserves somebody who should actually like her. I rooted for them in the beginning but I'm undecided about them in the end. 3***

Mark Chao+Sonia Sui: She looks older than him (which makes sense since she is older in real life) but they didn't make a bad couple. The only thing is does Mark like Ivy or Sonia more? 3***

Ivy Chen+Xiu Jie Kai: I like the secretive love that Xiu Jie Kai has for Ivy but it was kind of nowhere. 3***

Janine Chang+Jason Zou: In a weird way, I think they should end up together since Janine has the most chemistry with Jason. 4****

OST: I only liked a couple of songs, mainly just the opening and ending. 2**

Rating: 3.5*** There's going to be a movie sequel so I'll look forward to that.
