I am very thrilled and in a way, surprised (in a good sense) with this year's award results because all of the winners deserve it. I'm a little bit disappointed with Raymond Lam not winning the Best Actor though. However, he is young and if he won it this year, people will be outrage since they will find him undeserving. Hopefully, Raymond will have another chance next year. Even though Raymond didn't win Best Actor, I'm happy that Ha Yu is the one who won since he is definitely a fantastic actor who should be recognized.
It seems like the only person people think is undeserving of the award is Wong Cho Lam for Most Improved Male Artist. Although I haven't seen all of "Best Selling Secrets", I think Wong Cho Lam deserves the award because he is really a multi-talented actor. I wanted Selena Li to win Most Improved Female Artist but Nancy Wu has been with TVB longer, she should be recognized, and Nancy should have won it a couple of years ago. Hopefully, Selena will win next year.
It's kind of sad that Derek Kwok didn't win anything but I think he will have a better chance next year with "D.I.E. II". Thank goodness Toby Leung didn't win Most Improved Female Artist.
Myolie Wu winning Most Stylish Artist is a little strange since I think she has a weird/bad fashion sense but I guess it's a "compensation" award for her. Raymond Lam winning the Popularity Award is good since it shows Raymond to not lose hope since the audience loves him no matter what. Paul Chun winning the Lifetime Achievement Award is fantastic since at least he is recognized for all of his great roles in TVB. Overall, this has been a good and fair year in TVB.
