Forensic Heroes II

I came in watching FHII with little to no expectations since I thought the first one was overrated since although it was good, it wasn't all that great. I still think the cases are too easy and predictable to solve; however, the character developments were pretty good. The cases were slightly better in the first one but the love triangles were dragged out too long.

Bobby Au Yeung: I was kind of disappointed that his screen time was less in here since he was one of the leads in the first one. However, his acting was still excellent. 5*****

Frankie Lam: I like how he is still one of the leads since I was scared his role will be less important when Linda Chung died and since he is no longer a contracted TVB actor. I absolutely love his character so it was sad to see him so much in pain and tears when Linda Chung died. I'm glad that if there was going to be another sequel, Frankie would have another love interest. 5*****

Kevin Cheng: He's a sweet character but I felt he was too dependent on Charmaine Sheh's character. It seemed like his role was created just so he could be the sweet and loyal boyfriend to Charmaine Sheh's character. 4****

Charmaine Sheh: I was kind of disappointed when I first heard that Charmaine will "replace" Yoyo Mung's character since I really liked Yoyo in the first one. However, I thought she was able to create a character that was completely different from Yoyo's. I like her character but I was annoyed with how she had a crush on Frankie but yet, she was dating Kevin so I felt that it was a selfish act since it was unfair to Kevin. She also looked really old at some angles since her hair was too flat. 4****

Yoyo Mung: I was kind of sad that her screen time was also less in this one but I grew to accept it since Charmaine wasn't a bad "replacement". I heard that her scenes were shorted since apparently she has a diva attitude now after dating Ekin Cheng. I'm not really her fan but it's kind of sad to hear this since I was starting to accept her as a decent actress. I guess this is also the reason why she was not asked to join the cast of "Moonlight Resonance (Heart of Greed II)". Her hair was also really ugly in here. 3***

Linda Chung: She's only a guest star in this sequel since she was busy filming "The Gem of Life". I was actually glad that her character was killed off since she was extremely annoying in the first one. It was kind of sad when she died but I was able to move on. 3***

Bobby+Yoyo: They are still cute so I was happy that they finally got their happy ending. 5*****

Frankie+Linda: They had better chemistry this time but I still don't really like them as a couple. 3***

Kevin+Charmaine: They look extremely good together but I felt they were lacking something. I guess they don't have enough chemistry with each other. 4****

Frankie+Charmaine: They were never really a couple since it was pretty much one-sided but they wouldn't make a bad couple. 3***

Raymond Cho+Florence Kwok: They were a cute and funny couple. 3***

Frankie+Sharon Chan: It was hinted that Sharon might be Frankie's new love interest in the third Forensic Heroes (if there is one) since she reminds him of Linda. They don't look too bad as a couple. 2**

Themesong by Edmond Leung: It was okay but I like the one by Frankie more in the first one. 3***

Rating: 3.5*** A lot better than I thought so people should give this a try before dismissing this because of new cast additions.
